Remote Sensing Technologies - Aerial USGS Digital Aerial Type Certification |
|
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) digital aerial sensor type certification team reviews digital camera systems to verify the systems meet the claims of the manufacturer and are capable of providing quality, consistent image data to support civil government mapping and ortho-photography product development. The certification process includes presenting and providing the appropriate information to address the certification requirements as defined in the USGS Quality Assurance of Digital Aerial Imagery plan and the USGS Sensor Type Certification Procedure. This certification is valid for any system matching the system type evaluated by the USGS during the site inspection. Any design changes that change the effective output of the system require additional evaluation and re-certification if necessary. The following sensor systems have successfully completed the USGS Sensor Type Certification Process: ApplanixDSS 322 Cover Letter Certification DSS 422 and 439 Cover Letter Certification Microsoft Vexcel Ultra Cam D Cover Letter Certification Microsoft Vexcel UltraCam X Cover Letter Certification Zeiss Intergraph DMC Cover Letter Certification Leica ADS-40 Cover Letter Certification |
