USGS National Range Building Update 1

USGS RST Project is sending a survey team to Rolla, Missouri next week to complete the survey of the Ground Control Points (GCP) for data provider product generation and of the USGS Check Points for the USGS to complete data provider geometric accuracy evaluations. The team completed some Sioux Falls surveying and painted a test target in preparation of the Rolla range survey. The team will be in Rolla, Missouri beginning this weekend through Friday, July 2, 2010. They will be working closely with the USGS Mid-Continent Geographic Science Center (MGSC) and the City of Rolla team members to complete the range survey and to get the signalized control points marked. The team is planning on surveying the USGS National Range at Pueblo, Colorado in July 2010 following the Rolla, Missouri range work. The work is being done in accordance with the base lined USGS Data Provider Evaluation Plan and Range Development Plan.
